Two little gifts

I should stop wasting my time on these and continue working on my short :-)

These are Milt Kahl’s thumbs wich I alligned roughly, I don’t think these were intented for animation but when I did them on 4’s they are still amazing.

And this is a walk cycle from Jungle book, it’s Junior. Again I had no pegs to align these so they are quite shaky. (Cleanup took a long time, I had bad scans)

Take care

My project and Glen Keane.

I switched schools a few days ago and we were given the assignment to do an animated short on a piece of music. So the ideas for my other project “Hanakotoba” will be put back in the closet for a while. I’m not sad or anything, it’s gonna give me more time to develop it better. The new project I’m doing is about a young cuban girl who becomes an icon in the dance world and later on an inspiration for others. I was looking for a style to do this in, and I’m gonna try a seriously hard style, pretty realistic.

Herval is one of my inspiration’s

And then I came across some sketches done by Glen Keane :

GlenKeane sketches

These were studies for Pocahontas, there taped to my animationdesk for now, they rock. I had some scans from a scene from Pocahontas. I alligned them and timed them ( Only keys ). So here ya go.

And here’s another video. Glen Keane on storytelling.
